Not familiar with that scope but I assume it is an EQ mounted 6" newtonian. Personally I usually do not recommend those cheaper EQ mounted scopes for beginners. Only real value I see in them is teaching people not to buy one again. If looking to do visual, a smaller dobsonian mounted newtonian is a much better bet. Easy to use and setup and you just see more.

I agree with Malcolm. The scope itself is probably surprisingly capable (I haven't tried it myself), but the idea of a manual EQ mount worries me. Not that this would keep you from observing anything, it just requires a level of dedication and patience that is not usually associated with hobbies (no, fishing is not a hobby).
I started over, after a decades-long hiatus, with the scope I'm still using after 18 years and a mount I would rather banish from memory. Using an EQ mount that lacks computer control and therefore any assistance for polar alignment can be an entertaining pursuit for an experienced hobbyist, but would be daunting for a beginner.
