Had enough of Eclipse Hysteria?

Warning to those without a sense of humour, read no further.

Reading all the US Eclipse threads, here and elsewhere, you would think Aliens were landing on the Whitehouse lawn to collect Donald Trump! Seriously, its just another eclipse. These things come and go, but i can not recall more hysteria than this one. People streaming video live on various 'look at moi' social media, and thinking millions will be watching.:rofl:

I dare you to go to Youtube and have a look at how the Flat-Earthers are using the eclipse as proof that the Earth is flat! It's like someone kicked over an ant hill.

Eclipses come and go, but a total solar eclipse is a unique event in the lives of most people.
However, I have to admit that I tried to stay out of social media, threads etc. until today because the excitement was a bit too much...
