Well, after 19 years, I've moved back to the USA to be closer to my ageing parents, who live in Colorado (where I'm originally from). I've taken on a position at a startup company in Wyoming. Should be an interesting challenge.

I'll miss the Southern skies, though I have left behind all three of my boys (adults now) and will be visiting them from time to time with a little grab-n-go of some type in hand.

Community I'm living in is much less light polluted than Adelaide, so I'm thankful for that. Going to build an observatory of sometype once I get settled. Household goods are arriving mid-October.

As for all the people I left behind...

Aussie!-Aussie!-Aussie!
OIC!-OIC!-OIC! :D

Just in time for the total solar eclipse too - good timing! I'll wave to you from Casper. :)

Thanks! It feel good to be back. Everything seems somehow different, yet the same (not talking about politics)... I very happy to be back amongst real mountains... :D

Yep, odd/good timing indeed. Original plan was to travel and visit my folks and then drive up. Now I live just 2 hours away from the centerline.

The missus arrives from Australia on Sunday afternoon. Weather looks good for monday. This will be the first one for the missus, so no cameras... one set of binos and my IIS Solar glasses I purchased about five years ago...

OIC!
