Well, I have been out of the game for a while, but am about to get back onboard. work and other factors have left me astro-timeless for over a year, but i'm about to move forward and purchase a new scope so thought i'd brush up and reprocess some old data -to reignite the fire.

Both very nice. The Thor image is very deep. A bit of red misalignment though. Perhaps try the chromatic aberration tool in Lens Correction in Photoshop or in Lightroom. One of them has a red fringe correction tool.
Perhaps just personal opinion but the teal green is a bit too green? Just a tad.
The Chicken is particularly nice. Super sharp.
Greg.

Really nice reworks Russell, particularly like the new colour mapping on the Chicken :)

thanks for the input Greg, yes - i might go back and have another look at what i can do with Thor's helmet. thanks the chicken is my best capture to date.
thanks George, i've been enjoying your images from afar.
I'm going with the TS 130mm triple f7, with the 0.79x reducer.
something that is just a bit easier to handle than the 12" newt!
thanks Rick!
Thanks for the comment tim!
thanks Col, yes I thought i should have another go at it with the more traditional colour balance. the stars became a lot less magenta too.
