Took this early on the Saturday evening at SPSP whilst waiting for my laptop to charge. Even caught a hint of zodiacal light which can be seen on the right of the picture.
Last time I tried a nightscape it wouldn't stitch properly due to lack of overlap between the frames. I made sure that this didn't happen by taking a total of 28 frames (which was definitely overkill)

Each frame was 20 seconds at ISO 3200 using an un-modded Pentax K-5 with a Samyang 14mm f2.8. Stitched in Microsoft ICE & post-processed in photoshop.

*Note - I updated the image and the link as the last version was too purple.

Thanks Marc - yep great SPSP this year - good weather and not too cold for the time of year.

I'm still a little confused as to the correct colour balance for these wide-field milky-way/nightscape shots. :confused2:
I feel the latest revision is an improvement but there are so many different ways of presenting them. Open to any suggestions... :)
