My turn for the M16...
65 x 180 seconds using my Canon and FLT 110 over two nights during the new moon two weeks ago.
Had to discard 30 subs as they were playing up with my star alignment (see http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=158745)
Anyway, I am pleased with this result (though I may have overstretched a bit judging by the pillars).
Comments and criticism welcome.
Cheers,
Bo

That's very nice Bo. I also found the Star Queen to lose a bit of definition in my image when stretching the fainter areas. So I selectively enhanced that region with a wide feather to blend it in. I don't know if that method is naughty or not. It's a bit like the Orion nebula with bright core and fainter stuff.

That wide-field is very good - not a view we see often enough.

Looks good Avi, your wide field certainly gives the view of it being an Eagle in Space!

I also like the wide field Bo
Perhaps NR was a tad too strong and black point has been clipped a bit

thanks Kevin, the jpeg compression is making things worse on close up images. I will have another go at processing the FIT file first as I suspect I have gone too hard in the first FIT stretch.
thanks M&T. I like the widefield too.
Yep, like the Seagull in the summer months.
Thanks Suavi, yes, I need to have another go. I only clipped slightly, but it's telling.
