Hi,
Haven't posted here for a while.
I shoot a lot of NB these days because the light pollution in Perth is getting worse and worse.
This NB shot of the Lagoon is taken through a C14 @ prime. I haven't added Luminance yet but certainly will. Typical narrowband palette. I've done about 3 hours per channel, disregarded a couple of hours of data that didn't cut the mustard.

Delightful framing! ....an ultra narrow field that the venerable C14 delivers just so well
Can't say I like the NB palette so much...M8 is simply beautiful in natural colour.
Quibbles aside...nice one

:hi: Nice to meet you.
Excellent resolution in the Hourglass - you've got the central dust lane. That's hard to do. Impressive.
Expecting to see more OIII in the image. Even so, a beautiful result.
Best,
Mike

An excellent narrow band lagoon Ray, the 3D effect is quite strong.

G'day Peter, I do like your RC's field though. One day soon I'll have to upgrade the C14 but for now she's doing okay.
Thanks to everyone else for their feedback. I've had to become a stickler for quality subs much more at this focal length (3950mm), any imperfections are prominent, whereas if I was shooting at F6.3 the tolerances a little less.

The resolution is very nice and the contrast is good. Framed well too! The Lagoon is one of those objects that I personally feel looks better with tighter crops than as a whole :)

Hi Ray
Looks good to me - a very nice Lagoon although OIII seems to be lacking in the palette. Regardless of the colour though the details are very nice.
Is there a higher resolution version?
Cheers

Superb detail there Ray. Really well done at that focal length
Makes me want to see the whole thing at the same level of detail though - a mosaic? :D

Hi Ray,
that C14 really allows you to zoom in & get such great detail.
Well done.

That's a compelling image Ray! The detail and 3D'ness you've achieved plus the composition/orientation makes it quite beautiful! Very nicely done!

Now that is impressive!
Wonderful framing and composition, delightful color palette (and I don't say that lightly being a not so big fan of green, lol) and awesome detail.
Top stuff!

That is superlative. So, so very impressive.
I'd imagine that would look fabulous as a metallic print hanging in the lounge!

Thanks Marcus. It can be hit and miss with the orientation sometimes. Glad this one worked.
I agree with the green sentiment Andy. And thanks for the positive feedback.
Thanks for the compliment Huma. Metallic print? Good idea.
And thanks to everyone else for looking.

And thanks for posting Ray! Love the detail and 3d look. This is what deeper imaging is about, you don't need to see an entire object all the time.
