Guide camera options?

I have not got to use the new eq6 but I feel the LPI as a guide camera wont cut it. So what should I get.Something that guides and easily interfaces with the mount..and is cheap. I have found the LPI "difficult" and dont know enough to know if it is me or it. I like the Deep Sky imager idea if it works like the adds say. But the simpler the better. I expect to guide thru a 80 x 400 and capture thru a sn150 and in time replace the current 80 with a triplet and capture thru that also. Any guidance really appreciated.

the capture camera is a 300d maybe later a 400d or a 450d?

Ive had absolutely NO problems using a Toucam pro with a 70x500mm guidescope and Guidemaster program with a Shoestring astronomy adapter. If you see a nice star in the guide scope it will guide perfectly on it for as long as you want. If you want to go deeper then use PhD guiding as it stacks the frames to determine the star centroid to guide on - it will also let you use a DSI or DSI Pro.

Here is my auto guiding train and it seems to have worked fine in the recent tests I performed:

WO 80mm f7 refractor, Orion Deep Space Star Shooter, Shoestring GPUSB adapter (http://www.store.shoestringastronomy.com/products_gp.htm), PHD Guiding from Stark Labs (http://www.stark-labs.com/).

I think the Orion Deep Space Star Shooter has been discontinued, pending a new model?
