Howie Glatter - RIP

I just read on Cloudy Nights the sad news that Howie Glatter passed away.

He was an innovative and interesting man who introduced some amazing gear for amateur astronomy use.

I did not know him well but always enjoyed seeing him at NEAF and seeing what new problem in collimating telescopes that he had solved. I am more knowledgeable from meeting him.

He will be missed- RIP Howie Glatter

He will certainly be missed, a real wealth of knowledge from what I've read from his posts on CN.

Sad to hear. He was very helpful to me when I bought one of his slings for my Obsession and was doubtless helpful to many others. Best wishes to his friends and family.

yes sad indeed. Had spoken to years ago when laser became all the rage, was extremely helpful.
