Using the colour optimised mod works quite well with this sort of seeing. Weather here has been very hot last couple of days and tonight was no exception. However the jet stream has been absent and a front was approching so I thought I would get in while I could.

Anyway, hope you like the results.

Some very interesting features along the equatorial zone, nice colours too.

Well done.

Paul,
so, have you gone completely to Colour Optimised, or was this just an experiment.
Better/Worse? Comments?

Gary, I think I will stay with the mod, there is noticably less noise on the Avi and under the gaussian waveletting the image comes up smoother. It is harder to focus, but the results are much better as far as I am concerned, especially in poor seeing conditions.

Mike would like to see the comparisions.

Paul that is a great image, I think I might have asked you, but is the upgrade reversable if required? Reckon you are gonna give bird some real hurry up mate. Seeing was not too flash here last night as well.

Peter, yes it is reversible. The image is good, but there is much more room for improvement.
