WR68 and RCW89 in Circinus from Atacama

Hi everyone,

Let us show you our last picture: this is in the Circinus constellation, the Wolf-Rayet star WR68 and the supernova remanent RCW89. See the annotated picture to find them ;)
This picture was asked by Sakib Rasool and we think this is the first time it is taken in color and wilde field...

Hi Guys,
Beautiful picture and I think it
could be improved by adjusting the contrast
as per your previous picture.
There is a large step on the left hand side of the histogram
but especially for Red.
I hope you don't mind?
I adjusted the L sliders in Photoshop to balance it a bit more -
as the Red was all out on it's own at the right hand side -
& used curves on the Red channel to lower the amount.
Please see the attached pic which is a small crop out of the center.
Does it look better?

You're right Alpal, some contrast can be added... I think we can play with the curves for a long time, and the result will always be better for someone.

Thnak for having taken time for the example !! :thumbsup: Is it better ? I really don't know. The 3 of us always prefer something more... pastel than something to strong. This version of the picture was perfect for us.

We noticed that you guys in Autralia (and also in the US) always go further with the curves than we do... But it concernes just the last 2% of the treatment, max ;)

I certainly won't be doing that anymore
as too many people get deeply offended at even the slightest suggestion
that a minor change could make an improvement. :)

I once again thank you for having tried something different (and better for you)
The 3 of us prefer our version but it is just about preferences... nothing else.

I hope you will continue to comment our pictures and make suggestions if you want to... You'll always be :welcome: This is just sharing opinion :thumbsup:
