Hi guys,

have not posted for a while, but had a go at Saturn this morning.

The seeing looked really promising and the image was quite steady on the laptop screen but when processing I found that the blue channel really suffers from the low altitude (37 degrees) and makes things difficult. Will keep playing with the AVI's I captured but here are the first processing results including the RED channel.

250 frames RGB slipt, ME Deconvolution in AstraImage and some mild unsharp masking in P/Shop.

Have a great Xmas and NY's everyone!

John.

Well done John.

Was up around 2 this morning enjoying Saturn visually.

Seeing here wasn't up to imaging, unfortunately.

What time was this captured?

Cheers

Fantastic John,

the banding is very prominent, great image for such a low altitude.

Nice shot John, I was up this morning as well but still processing. Seeing was only 5/10 or less though unfortunately, so not rushing to process them :)

Great image scale and colours. The CD is a bit wide indicating too much processing given the seeing conditions.

Hi John, what amazing banding. It must be really prominent at the moment because Mike's really showed it off as well. Great stuff!

cheers,

Hi John

Must have missed this the first time through, glad I saw it on the 2nd pass! What an incredible image scale and a wonderful image of the ringed planet - well done under difficult conditions.

Cheers

Dennis

Saturn images are starting to come in thick and fast now.
You've captured some beautiful subtle banding and the colours are lovely.
