The seeing on last night was variable at first but improved near 9pm local time. This capture is just as the GRS started to make its transit.
Lots of really interesting things to look at in the belts. Looks like a new storm is emerging in the NEB on the left hand side.
Image taken with C14 and ZWO174MM. Processed in Autostakkert, Astraimage 2.5Max and PhotoshopCS6.

Very nice, Paul! I'll have to give planetary imaging a go some time... when I have a lot more spare time

Once again Paul you stun us with your beautiful images.
would it be possible to post a video tutorial and show how you process your data?
regards
John

I don't have a video but essentially I process as follows:
Remember Seeing is everything.
I use Autostakkert 2 with gradient, sharpen images and about 20 map points. Once processed I use the sharpened image and do deconvolution with Astra Image 2.5max. Usually I use Lucy Richardson but sometimes I use Van Cittert in really good data. Lucy Richardson I use 4 iterations and a radius of about 1.6 in Gaussian. Van Cittert I use 1 iteration and radius of 2.6. I then recombine my mono images to make an RGB image. That is then taken to PS and processed with some saturation and maybe making it a little data to enhance contrast. That is pretty much it.
Thanks Phil, this is pretty much how I process Jupiter most of the time. It's interesting that each person ends up processing a certain way and you can tell after a while who processed the data.

Beautiful image Paul (and of Saturn too). Lots going on there, I like the definition you've got of the red ring in Oval BA, and the pinkish colour to the formerly white oval on the north of the NEB. And thanks for posting something of how you process the images too!
