Here's another obscure planetary nebula, DS 2, apparently discovered by a gentleman named John Drilling. I know virtually nothing about it except its size (3'). I expected it to be a lot more difficult to image.
Cheers

Wow!.... you are certainly popping out the planetaries!!
Well done!!

Looking at the colour it appears that there is very little hydrogen emission; mostly oxygen?
Very nice though :)

Thanks Colin. Correct - stronger in OIII.
Thanks Tim. Not sure if I'll manage another one this dark sky period.
Thanks Rick. Turned out a lot easier than I thought it would.

Lovely almost symmetrical bubble with very fine detail captured. Enjoying following your exploration of the unfamiliar.

Thanks M&T. That may be the last one for a while.

That's so cute, like a mini sharpless SH2-308 - a planetary Mini Me :D
Nice image, well done

Thanks Andy. It was surprisingly easy to image and process. Everyone seems to be using the term "cute" for my planetary nebula images.

Thanks Kevin. Actually I don't care what you call it. It's just that "cute" isn't a term I've seen applied to astronomical objects before.

Maaaw coochy coochy :innocent:
Yeah, PN's are almost all small aaaaand...?...just so cute! :D
Another cool shot Steve, nicely captured...you must have a very nice collection of PN's now :)

Thanks Mike. Yes I have quite a few planetaries these days. Most of them are Sakib suggestions. As fa as calling them cute I'm quite prepared to accept that as part of 21st century language.
