After a month of clouds I've finally managed to collect the data for panel 6 of 7 of my Eta Carina Mosaic project.

This is just a quick sneak preview in HaRGB of what is slowly coming in full NB - hopefully in the next week or so if the skies remain clear over Melbourne for just one more night!

Gem cluster NGC 3293 & Gabrielle Mistral Nebula NGC 3324
4Hrs Ha 900 sec subs,
15x60 sec subs RG&B.

From the backyard in light pollutionville, Melbourne.

cheers

Good on you, Andy. We know from experience that nebulosity around the Gem cluster is relatively faint.

In close-up tight around the cluster, it reminds one of a cooling tower on a power station. Your shot shows the wider extent and interesting shape very nicely.

I didn't even know there was Ha behind that cluster. What bandwidth Ha filter? Super shot Andy.

Hi Kevin, it's a 3nm Astrodon Ha - yes, there's loads of H out there in this region. ;)

Hmmm, no pressure, I'll try not to disappoint you Rick!

Looking good Andy. I did a deep shot of the gem cluster some years back and was surprised at the amount of nebulosity there.

Cheers
