Hi to all
This globular cluster in Musca wasn't my first choice for an imaging target but nothing else seemed to work. I think the image is definitely better than my last effort from a few years ago.
Cheers
Steve

Lovely! Very pretty star colours. A feeling that the number of stars is huge but finite and comprehensible - very different to the big fat ones like Omega Centauri.
Looking at the histogram, you can set the black point higher by about 7000 counts (out of 16 bits) without any information loss, and it makes it really sparkle.
Your image makes us want to do more globulars.
Best,
M & T

Thanks M&T. Prime globular season is coming up of course so I'll certainly be doing more.
Thanks Tim

Great looking Glob Steve...beautiful! I see a bit of yellow bias in the midtones which is probably stopping It from popping a bit more but that aside It's gorgeous:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbs up:
I love globs:)

Lovely result Steve!
Just the right amount of understatement too! :) Sometimes it's too easy to be swept away in a frenzy of saturation.

That's shimmery and gorgeous - can you imagine one day in the far future being on the bridge of the Enterprise and observing that up close?
Nice job :D

Thanks Andy. I guess Isaac Asimov's legendary science fiction story "Nightfall" is applicable too (about a race of people living in a globular).
Thanks Marcus
