All possible Ha/Sii/Oiii -> RGB Colour Mappings

I've wanted to do this for ages because I hadn't seen it anywhere so I used PHP/HTML/CSS & GD code to take 3 JPEGS then combine them in all possible combinations so I wouldn't have to do them manually in photoshop.

It's not very good/balanced data but I can tell the code to load any registered images to combine so will try with some others soon.

And I don't think I've seen an index like this anywhere else? (Is there one?)

I think it's a nice little preview tool that could be used to view all possible combinations before doing a proper processing job in photoshop or whatever. At the very least this index might give you some ideas :)

The SOH or OSH look like they have potential, but then I'm partial to a pink/purple treatment to NB images :)

Thanks :) I don't really see it as a replacement for proper processing but I'm stoked I made it work. I had to pull each pixel from the 3 source images and put them back together in the combine function as an RGB value. I've never used code for image processing before, let alone web code running in my browser to a server in Melbourne .. it all happens in real time and I'm quite chuffed :)

Nice work Dylan, a useful tool. I feel that saturation of each colour is an important factor in processing, and balance as Atmos said. There is just so much going on when we blend to our particular taste, which is where artistic impression meets technology. I am sure many folks might like some code to run against their image to automate the blending.

Very cool Dylan and quite arty looking reminds me of Andy Warhol's series (https://www.artpeoplegallery.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/n-ANDY-WARHOL-MARILYN-huge.jpg) of multiple multi coloured Marilyn Monroe heads :thumbsup:

I've also updated the test shot to M16 with more even normalisation between channels so the effects are clearer between combinations.

That's a good idea actually. I was thinking last night, I should be able to use jQuery to rapidly animate all the versions it generates.

Although it's not meant to replace processing, the preview results aren't bad if the source images are good. Here is the OSH mapping up close straight out of the tool.
