Close up (600mm) inside a transition area of the Rho Ophiuchi complex
L : R : G : B = 5 : 3 : 3 : 3 (hours)
Shot from Brisbane with QSI683-ws8 through Skywatcher Black Diamond ED80 on Skywatcher EQ8 mount.

Star colours are a bit muted though?
Love those dark swirly bits too :)

Thanks. I've always had trouble with star colours. These ones were particularly bad with magenta and red bleeding out into the nebula. I took the stars out destaturated then because it was so distracting.

Lovely detail there! Yes the stars could do with fewer seconds' exposure, maybe a few quick 120s?

That's a good looking image for only 3 hours of data. I found this area quite fascinating when I undertook the same area quite a few years back. Nice to see someone else having a go at the same field. I think it sometimes gets over looked for the wider field of view.
