I took this a few weeks back at the start of this month and have only just got around to processing it. Taken from my backyard in Melbourne, Esprit 100, DSLR, 20 X 1min @ 1600iso, unguided. The larger one is just a crop of the wide field.
I cropped the full field in DSS using the rectangular box and was able to use 2 x drizzle without my computer throwing up an error of 'Run out of memory' like it does when I try to use the drizzle on the full picture.

I like the widefield image mickoid.
The crop with the 2x drizzle seems to work well too.
Nice shot.

They're both great but if I had to choose I'd go with the cropped version. I think it's better balanced within its surroundings. The other probably has just a bit too much space (pardon the pun) around it. But I want to be able to reach out and grab that burger so the closer, the better. :)
Hmmmm.... A Plain Burger in Melbourne, eh?
You can't beat

Yes, I would have eaten there after seeing Sonic Youth at the Old Greek Theatre a few doors down. Don't remember any hamburgers though, hot dogs perhaps. Back in those days I probably would have been able to walk out onto Bridge Rd and look up to see Epsilon in Crux shining brightly! Then again, I was probably too bleary eyed to see anything much after coming out of the OGT, including the traffic! Oh, to have those dark skies back again!:(
