New to Iceinspace.

Hello All,

I am a retired metallurgist and engineer with a background in manufacturing then mining and mineral processing.

My main interests now are optics and all aspects of telescope making. I have a fairly well equipped machine shop and am building up my optical testing and making tools. Over the last few years of semi - then full retirement I have started to catch up on all the partly completed projects that built up while I was working. As I find time I intend to post some articles about past and current projects and am looking forward to making new aquaintances and contributing to the forum discussions.

Welcome Bill. You will find everyone very helpful here as you have no doubt noticed in browsing the forums.
I'll be interested in your projects as they unfold. I too have a modestly equiped workshop and have a few projects on the go. Just not enough time in retirement to fit everything in!
