Hi All,
This is my take on a very well imaged subject.
As others have done, I have tried to create as much of a 3D effect as possible with this one.

A HaRGB image with the FLI PL16803 + Takahashi BRC250 on a ParamountME.

Taken at Savannah Skies.

Thanks very much.

Wow, this is not the traditional presentation, is it? A metallic finish I would never have thought of.
I really like it.
And the others on your site. Especially your Crabs,
Very nicely done

Hi Everyone,
Thank you very much. I appreciate your comments greatly.

Thank you - Rick, Scott, Peter, M+T, Pete,Greg,Brett,Allan, Mike, and Trevor.

Trevor, yes it does has a somewhat metallic appearance - maybe more a red rusty flaky pipe rather than a soft flower ??

Cheers,
Tim

Nice detail Tim and the fit of the object on your sensor works well. I like the pinks but I think the actual space background looks blue to me. I think that detracts a little.

A wonderful result Tim!

But I'd like to see more deeper reds in the image.

Thanks very much Paul and Marcus.

I really appreciate your comments. I will try and tweak it a bit....colour is not my forte, for sure!!

Thanks again,
Tim

I think the colours are perfect, not only the subtle blues in the nebulously but the star colours are rich, especially all this golden stars. Even the diffraction spikes are colourful!
Definitely sets a standard.
Cheers
Andrew.

That's pretty much how I saw it, and it works for me. Be interesting to see it printed on the Platinum paper the photo printers use. It would bring out that metallicity nicely.

Nice image Tim - cool colours too - would like to comment further but the link is too low in res to really see more detail. :)

Andy, I am sorry about the link's resolution - I'll see what I can do about it.

Nice work Tim. Would be great to have these northern objects high in your sky!

I'm with Paul and Marcus a little on colour from an aesthetic point of view but it's probably technically fine for HaRGB. Star colours look good though. Do you have enough data to display an RGB (or LRGB) only version?

Thanks very much Simon and Rodney!!

Phil,
Thanks indeed for casting your keen eye on it. I will tweak the colours as suggested over the coming week and post the colour adjusted version separately to the Smugmug site and post in this topic when I have it done ....I have been held up with work through the last week....

I will look at uploading just a LRGB or RGB version also. Yes, the Dec of aprox +5 is perfect for up here....It is good poking up into the North a bit, but there is so much good stuff around the South Celestial Pole that you guys get to, so much better than me!!!

Once again thanks very much everyone!
Cheers,
Tim

Looks great to me Tim and you've definitely succeeded with the 3D effect. the colour looks great. Would be nice to see a somewhat higher resolution version though.

Hi Mark and Steve,
Thanks for looking! I am not sure if SmugMug can take a higher resolution....still working this out....

Tim

Hi All,
I have upload a version 2 -
https://savannahskies.smugmug.com/Nebula/i-47c8mRJ/A

I have tried to take on board the suggestions re the colour issues, but I am not totally sure I have fixed it totally at this stage.

Please advise.

Many thanks,
Tim
