Managed to get show the kids the GRS on Jupiter a few nights ago. Then did some capturing after they gone to bed.
200 frames using FLT 110 refractor with 2.5X barlow and QHY5II-L colour cam.
Registax and minor tweaking.
Hope you like it.

That's pretty nice, far better than I've managed :) Lowly 4" doing a good job.

You've done well to capture surface detail with a small scope, Bo. I bet your kids think dad is very clever taking a picture to remember the moment! Nice capture with only 200 frames, seeing must have been ok as well. Good to show others what can be done with a small bore.

Nothing lowly from a 4.33" (!)
The kids don't enjoy as much as dad (yet...). My 11 yo was impressed with the views out of a big SDM at Snake Valley though  and the 8 yo was impressed with the rings of Saturn the last time I showed him (who has not been impressed with ring of Saturn!).
Thanks Stefan, the seeing improved for 30 mins just before the clouds rolled in (evening of April 13) so it was a lucky catch.

Got to be happy with that Bo, plenty of details there...small but perfectly formed? :)
One tip in Registax...try the RGB balance and select Auto and see if it removes the salmon cast.
