Had a clear night to do the Bottom half of the Chicken nebula in narrowband.
4 minute exposure's total 4 hours exposure

I also had to have a go at Centaurus A Galaxy doing some LRGB from Brisbane.

I could only take 20 second exposures but am stoked with such short exposures in LRGB. total exposure time only 1 hour.
The Galaxy shot is severe crop as I am shooting with 1600mm-c on Esprit 120.

May look at getting a light polution filters to get longer exposures.

Those look pretty good - I might have to try Centaurus A myself I think. What Gain/Offset are you using?

If you haven't seen it, you might like to read Ray's thread: http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=155908 on exposure times for the ASI1600. It might not be necessary to try for longer exposures, but perhaps more of them?

Thanks Chris, that's some interesting reading.
Looks like I am at my limit on exposure length in the red zone and can go shorter. Narrowband surprises me, 5.5 mins seemed too long for me specially in OIII, I tend to go for around Median 850ADU in SGP which is 4 mins subs in HA and SII but 3 mins on OIII.

I have only shot on Unity so far.....all this is very new to me.

Just remember that the values you get in SGP contain the bias level whereas Ray's ADU values do not as they assume a calibrated image.

Ok cheers...thought they seemed a bit off but I am far to new to question.
