View Full Version here: : Dark Enery/Dark Matter - My theory

I think I have solved the problem of dark matter and energy. It came to me late last night whilst sitting contemplating the universe in general.
Now I know what your all thing that I must have been smoking some good s$#t but it was nothing illegal, it was all legally bought from one of those specialty shops.
I'll leave the mathes to the Einsteins and Hawkins out there.
Heaven and Hell
Apparently when we die we either go up(heaven) or down(hell). According to some anyway.
Well maybe they're right.
But where is Heaven and Hell?
My theory is Heaven is dark matter and hell is dark energy.
So if you have done all the right things in your life, your soul goes to heaven and adds to the the mass of dark matter. Yep you guested it dark energy is you/me burning for eternity in the fires of hell producing the energy for the epansion.
This explains why the universe is expanding faster now than before.
Eons ago there was less life/deaths, so less mass/expansion etc.
You might think that the world hasn't been around long enough to produce enough souls to cause these effects. But if you add all the souls from all the living entities from all worlds that have been and gone since the big B could explain it all. Maybe every thing has a soul from the first single cell organism to the most complex. That would be a lot of souls floating around out there doing nothing if I'm wrong.
Now I'm not a scientist/mathematician so could be wrong(probably not the first time) thats why I said I'd leave the mathes to those that are but I think I could be right this time.
What do you think? Nobel prize worthy?
Cheers

I stopped reading upon reading the words "Heaven and Hell" - such archaic "theories" to explain existence and the delusion of life after death in the modern world don't hold any water to ME (MY opinion - obviously yours differs, and I respect that).
2000+ years ago, humanity started to wonder and attempt to explain and understand the world around them, the stars above them (for I dare not call them "heavens") and the intricacies of life and death - the concepts that could not be explained or understood were attributed to that of a "God" - a fail-safe option for everything. The fear of death was assuaged in the unwashed masses by the theory of life after death in "heaven/paradise" with "God" and all of your family (and in Islam, 13 virgins).
To me, when you die, that's it. Adios muchachos. Literally ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Become a star citizen again by donating your atoms to the eventual rebirth of another carbon based organism.
C'est la vie, c'est la mort!

Hi Andrew,
No I don't see it either, thats why its called dark energy:P
I wish, but wouldn't know the good ones from the bad(good) ones.
Thanks for the points.
Actually, They're pretty much my views too.
Go on read the rest. After all the effort I put into typing it.
Must be your turn Alex, I always forget whos turn it is.
That would be illegal Lewis. I don't think they grow this stuff in the fields, more like the labs. :D

Agreed... why is it that when someone talks to an imaginary friend, they get locked up as crazy, yet those who talk to "God" don't... make no sense at all...

It is or was grown all over the region.
Once you could go to the pub and pretty well all there were growers.
Most of the folk I knew who did grow are retired or dead.
It is my impression indoor growing is the go as the produce is apparently more potent.
What I find disturbing is I have heard rumours of two ice labs.
A stoned hippy is rather harmless but I believe ice freaks can be rather nasty.
The last dope bust I heard about saw the defendant receiving a small fine, under one hundred dollars, for fifty plants, and court costs.
So it seems the law does not worry much.
But all the folk who have confided in their growing only make enough money to maybe buy a new secondhand car in a good year.
But it seems to be very low paid work.
Then the big boys are not going to boast about their business at the pub.
I offer wonder when I hear about drug busts on the news where millions worth of product is seized how the heck they would go about distribute those quantities.
I mean say you had a million dollars worth of whatever how would you move it...
I often look at shops that really can't survive given the huge overhead of running any business and think how do they survive..could that shop just be a cover.
I was happy to take my daughter out of school years ago and insulate her from the drug problem which seems to afflict so many kids.
Back to dark energy and dark matter.
Folk must realise the use of "dark" suggests science is still in the dark.
Our current models, with General Relativity at the center, tells us from our observations something is there (in respect of dark matter) and something going on (in respect to dark energy) which is not entirely understood and the term "dark" could be seen somewhat as a placeholder awaiting a more detailed theory.
It is doubtful that the OP is at all close to determining either matter and it is probably unwise to use a supernatural entity invented by ancient superstitious folk to answer these or any other scientific questions.
The rules here sensibly say no religion or politics and there is a good reason these rules are in place.
Both matters turn on personal belief and discussions will never end well.

Sorry guys, maybe I should have used more smileys etc.
If I wanted it to be taken seriously I would have posted in the science section, not here.

Don't worry I did not think you were really serious and no need to apologise.
Once I used to use smileys because folk thought I serious but got lazy stopped doing them.
Personally I thank you for coming up with something cause I am fresh out of ideas.
I really had nothing to say but that never stops me.
Happy Easter.

 I read between the lines , saw the tongue in cheek .
Well done by the way , some people are just to serious these days
.
I like you Alex would rather live next door to a stoned Hippy than these Evil Ice freaks out there , they are straight from the 'Dark Energy' realm ,
,,,, totally EVIL !!!:sadeyes::sadeyes: and it needs to stop ,,, how ? , I have no idea rather than putting them all on an island and let them self destruct ...

Hi Brian
I think there is a good case to make all drugs legal as it is my belief that the Government should regulate distribution and quality.
Addicts would be apparent and medical intervention would be much easier than under the present system.
The reduction in price would presumably remove incentive for other players, drug lords and the like.
Crime via theft to support habits may disappear and the law enforcement people could direct their attention to other matters.
The fact that drugs would become no more out of place than anything else may also stop a lot of folk being curious and trying something.
Unfortunately illicite drugs are part of the system.
But drugs in some form have existed in every society on the planet the only exception were the Eskimo.
But they began, after contact with the white man, in some cases to abuse tea by drinking gallons of it such that they would pass out and urinate uncontrollably.
I avoid taking any medication even to ease my suffering via my legs although yesterday I did buy a bottle of peach schnapps to dip my strawberries in.
And I wrestle with the guilt of indulging in such pleasure because there is no nutritional value to be had.
