This is an experiment to test mosaics with the near perfect flat frame of the TS102 and ASI1600mm combo.

Only 30 second exposures, 50 of each for each panel. 5nm Ha filter. All done last night under the light of a full moon.

HDR gain setting at -10C.

Full link to the tiff is here. WARNING nearly 140mb...

For the pixel peepers, there are no darks applied, and boy they are certainly needed. I have done bias and flats however.

Thanks for looking

It going to blow 140mb in my phone but the thumbnail looks great :) It has some banding so I'd agree that it needs darks. I've tried imaging with the ASI1600 without darks and it definitely shows when they're not applied.
Very nice though :)

Thanks Colin.
Going to knock some dark frames out when i get home from work and do another 50 subs of each panel tonight. Then cull the worst and stitch it all together again.

Cheers

Thanks Rick.

Fixed up a camera tilt issue last night. The camera bumped against the pier a couple of nights ago and I didn't notice it.
