Since this is the first really clear night since I bought the camera I thought I'd put it and myself to the test.
I set the timer on the camera to 2 seconds to allow for shaking after pushing the button.

The Hyades/Pleiades, 6 images of 3.2 sec @ ISO 800 F3.5
Canis Major, 5 images of 3.2 sec @ ISO 800 F3.5
Orion, 6 images of 2.5sec @ ISO 800 F3.5 I allowed shorter exposure time cause I did zoom in a little.
All stacked in Registax.

Without tracking I didn't want to push the exposure time too far. Could I have let it go for longer?
My next purchase is a power adapter, gee this camera can chew through the batteries.

Great stuff:thumbsup: . Just keep pushing your exposure times till you notice trailing;) . mmm batteries.. can you get a external source of power to the camera?.. if its a problem now it will only get worst and frustrate your efforts... I know, you need another camera... jingle bells;)

JJJ, you would probably be able to triple the exposure time before trailing, my 50mm Olympus lens at F/1.4 will do about 15 seconds before obvious trailing.

Good first go though,
