Filter sets recommendations and questions

I am doing some research on filter sets and come across an interesting dilemma.
I was originally looking at the ZWO 36mm LRGB and NB filter sets ($269 and $729 retail here, $998 total).
Then I came across this filter set from Baader (http://www.teleskop-express.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p7729_Baader-Filter-Set-LRGBC---Narrowband-H-alpha-O-III-S-II--36-mm--round--unmounted.html) for 605 Euro plus 36 Euro delivery, total around $900. As the total including delivery is under $1000, I don't think I need to pay GST.

So I was wondering if I can ask a few questions:
1. Are there much difference between ZWO and Baader in terms of quality?
2. Are they are both parfocal?
3. Do I really need the "Clear" filter from Baader to focus, as opposed to using the Luminance filter alone? (I am asking because I want the 7x36mm EFW from ZWO).
4. Do I need to pay any import duties even if I don't pay GST?

Personally, I'd go the Baader over the ZWO filters if they're that comparable price wise.

Parfocal filters is a bit of a misnomer as even if the filters are parfocal the rest of the system can be off (refractors aren't perfect, neither are cheaper coma correctors). Baader claims to have parfocal filters BUT there is no baseline to what that is based off; a F/10 system or a F/2 system?

I don't think you need a clear filter, luminance is probably better anyway as it cuts the UV and IR wavelengths.

I am leaning towards Baader as well, but would like to support our local retailers if I can.
I have emailed TS asking them if the clear filter is really needed or can I use L filter for focusing, also asked if they can do a LRGB and NB set for the 7x36mm ZWO EFW.

I was in the exact same situation, ordered the Baader set for 605 Euro..arriving tomorrow hopefully

The local Astro shops have got plenty off me as of late...hahahaha

No GST/Duty its under $1000 aud but I will let you know if any hick ups, they arrive tomorrow

ive got everything baader filter wise - except i use the astronomik ccd cls for luminance.
no halo's or the like very solid filters. cant comment on the ZWO ones as i haven't used them

I've used both luminance and clear filters and focused. No difference except perhaps clear filters may have fluffier stars due to the UV but I think that shows up in long exposures not in short focus images like 5 secs.

I only ever focus with luminance filters.

At one stage Clear filters were interesting because they let in a tad more light which is good for dim objects like dim galaxies. The downside is your brighter stars will be bloated.

No need for a clear filter.

All arrived well packed and no extra costs, I have a 7 slot filter wheel so the Clear filter will be tossed well not literally...lol
