:hi: Ric I observed S/N2006dd in NGC 1316 about July this year it was quite noticeable in the 16" scope even though the galaxy nucleus is very bright.
S/N2006mr was much harder to see as it only got down to around mag 14.5 at its brightest, and with the very poor seeing we have been having lately was only glimpsed in favorable moments.:thumbsup:
