Just got back from F1GP Melbourne. Enjoyed some great races over the four days. Looks like this year will have a bit more to offer fans than previously.

Sebastian drove a perfect race after Lewis wore out his tyres too quickly trying to stay ahead of the Ferrari. No luck for Dan....
The new cars sound much better, though still a far cry from the screaming V10s and the old Cosworths.

My son and I attended at the RedBull Promo event on Wednesday then met Dan Ricciardo again on Friday as well as Lewis Hamilton for some selfies and autographs.

Sick of eating burgers and chips and $9 beers, we're quite a few thousand $$ poorer.

The Melbourne organisers and especially tram staff did a fantastic job.

You mean you raided the Tak fund to go watch F1? We need to see the celebrity photos then.

F4.5 is cheaper and has less aberrations...

Photos are on my son's phone and when I say selfies I mean my son took selfies..... I will try to get at least a couple of pics off him......

Clive, there were a few aberrations in the RedBull #3 electronics that caused it to get stuck in 6th gear and then later lose drive altogether.

Allan, I think the Tak budget took a TSA120 sized hit over the six days....

Protip, sneak over the road to the Elephant and Wheelbarrow for lunch. Vastly cheaper to have a great big pub meal and pint of Guinness than a to go to a track vendor for a beer and a pizza the size of a saucer out of a kids tea set.

Some really hot days we have found ourselves over there by 11:00 and somehow never got back to the circuit, Thursdays mainly.
