Centaurus A.....the radio galaxy.....seemed like a good subject to mark the second week of my own radio therapy ...

...on what has been the only clear night in Sydney since...well...since Noah decided to float his boat.

Hence I took the opportunity to get some more L data, which is combined here with last year's RGB of the same object.

Hope you enjoy this view of THE Big Mac... (http://www.atscope.com.au/BRO/gallery391.html)

A great shot - as usual. I really do like seeing the extent of this galaxy, way outside the dust ring.

I don't like the sound of you needing radio-therapy. Stay well.

super shot, very sharp so much dust detail. thinking of adding a bit of Ha?
I second that too, radio therapy does not sound good, take care.

Thanks guys...also the wonderful people at Sydney's Royal North Shore radio oncology are among the world's best, so no quibbles from me for their directing decidedly more energetic photons my way.

Peter, that's just stunning. Sharp and deep, of course, but the thing we like the most is the very high contrast in the tiniest and most intricate dust lanes.

Top notch Peter...
I don't think I have seen 5128 processed as good as that before.

Thanks.

Thanks Alan. The seeing was good for some of the data, but not exceptional...the fact it was actually not raining was a plus :)

Too kind.

Thanks M&T

Thank you guys...after months of rain ...a little "astro-therapy" always helps

I was quite surprised how quickly the system captured the data...attached it just 50 minutes of L data from the weekend..I pushed it fairly hard, but it hints at the shells in Rolf's superb uber deep image....remarkable given the light pollution in my backyard
