Astro optical mirror 10 inch dob - $150!

Hi all,
I am selling a 10 inch F6 hand made dobsonian, it has performed well but it is in serious need of a mirror recoat though. Even with the state of the mirror it is still very sharp (being hand crafted). A great beginner scope, i will sell it for quite cheap because of the mirror quality. Pickup only, around Melbourne area.
Mirror made by astro optical.

Is it possible to actually use it at the moment or does the mirror need to be resilvered prior to attempting to use the telescope ?

It is possible, the mirror has lost maybe 25 - 50% of its reflectivity but its still fine to use.

If you are new to this and considering a 250mm scope, this is an amazing bargain. I had an astro optical 250mm and diagonal system which gave stunning views which bettered anything else up to 300mm. The mirror optical quality, resolution and star colours with good seeing were outstanding and the pyrex mirror stabilised quickly. It might be a bit heavy but is worth every cent to get that mirror recoated and give the scope new life.
