Got a question about the Saxon 10" dob solid tube,

How do you find moving it to the backyard or wherever you go for observing?

Is it heavy when you lift it, or its not too bad picking it up and placing it on the base.?

Im a slim build, and have set my eyes on this scope for sometime, but recently started to think about the weight, I think its 15kg.

Im not into truss collapsible for some reason, I think I just love the old style :)

Not so much the weight as the "awkwardness". This is my 12" and its still a wrestling match each time......lower plate of the base is fitted with rubber door stops so the trolley slides in ok. Beware your finder scope doesnt get knocked.

The trolley method is the simplest. Self adhesive felt strips or foam in the right place to protect the scope and a little practice wheeling it about.
