In an article today in the Sydney Morning Herald (http://www.smh.com.au/technology/sci-tech/white-dwarf-x9-is-closest-star-found-orbiting-a-black-hole-at-astonishing-12-million-kmh-20170314-guxh1d.html), Marcus Strom
reports on evidence of a star orbiting a black hole at just 2.5
times the distance between the Earth and the Moon.

The black hole and star are in the globular cluster 47 Tucanae.

Absolutely astounding!

I guess that star never asks the question "are we there yet?" :) (ignoring the actuality of relativity and space/time for a second)

And ignoring the actuality of traveling in a circle!

Simply amazing that they are able to gain/interpret that type of data. From the earth to the moon in less than 2 min. Wow!
