Sky Roof Controller

Has any one installed one of these products for automating Observatory opening/closing? Would be interested in some feedback if so. I'm looking to automate the closing of my roll off shed observatory. Their site says that the product will interface with garage door motors which is what I am thinking of using.

Haven't installed one of those systems but you can buy a sliding gate kit that comes with remote, gears etc all in one. If you have a builder friend they might be able to get you a good price

Thanks Darren. I am fortunate that I have a builder friend who also happens to be into amateur astronomy and has his own observatory. He is going to give me a hand to retrofit a motor and we will definitely be looking a the sliding gate option as well as others such as panel lift mechanisms. Once we have done that however the tricky bit is interfacing the motor to a control system which is where products such as Sky Roof and Sky Dome come in.
