So here is my latest effort doing the narrowband version of this summer classic. Barnard 33 (Horsehead) IC434, NGC 2023 and NGC 2024 (Flame Nebula) in Orion. Obviously we all know this area so will jump into details.
Consists of 13x5mins of Ha, 10x5mins of OIII and 14x5mins of SII. Preprocessing (calibration, registration and integration) in Pixinsight, combination of NB channel to an RGB, making a pseudo lum image, noise reduction by Multiscale Linear Transform (nice tool that!!) also in PI then blending of RGB and lum and final stretching and tweaking in Photoshop.
Not completely happy with the processing but it is not to bad art this stage.
Scope: Stellarvue SVR102T-IS
Camera: SBIG STT8300M with Baader NB filters
Mount: Orion AZEQ G
Guiding: Orion SSAG Pro and ST80 with PHD
Image Capture: SG Pro
Cheers
