Hi all, I have currently my baby q and fs60 set up but jerry rigged a guide scope as my guide scopes have the standard vixen? base
is there an adaptor or an alternative (apart from OAG) that I can get to use modded finder guider on my tak bolt holes?
OAG is off limits to me currently as the flattener spacing on the fs 60 is unforgiving and I have a QHY 8 OSC on the baby Q . cheers
Graham :thanx:

Hi,

I used to have a TSA120 that I fitted a Skywatcher 50mm finder that I turned in to a guidescope. I modified the Synta base so it would fit the Tak finder holes. Even painted it Tak green. Will see if I can find it and take a pic for you tonite. If you are interested, would happily swap it for a non modified Synta base.

cheers
Gary

On my Tak, I use the standard Tak 7x50 finder, but I unscrewed the rear ocular, and use a helical focuser (thread is same, so goes straight on) :http://myastroshop.com.au/products/details.asp?id=MAS-017F3

Or you could buy the whole lot - it fit the Vixen dovetail finder base (tightly): http://myastroshop.com.au/products/details.asp?id=MAS-017F
