Browsing through the classifieds I'm constantly frustrated by the amount of classified pictures that are wrong way up. All good on a phone but not on a desktop.
It's easy to take an extra moment and orient pictures the correct way up and then upload.
Is there a way the forum software can sort this constant irritation or is it too much to ask that posters orient their photos correctly?
Yes it's a whinge but borne from frustration. Apologies in advance if it offends

I believe it is actually the forum that changes the orientation when it's uploaded. Uploading as a portrait it'll orientate it as a landscape.
Thankfully, there have been a very few pics posted that are obviously upside down/sideways. Usually the mount legs should be pointing in the downward direction.
I think some people upload images and then after viewing the post and noticing incorrect orientation, they may not be sure how to rotate. Some have actually added a comment about this into their post.

Old used car/real estate sales trick to draw your attention maybe? Works a little first time round, but very tedious after that!

Images have an orientation exif tag.
Windows 10 and mobiles read this data and auto corrects orientation, windows 7 don't.
If the site you upload to strips this data, the image appears as it was taken.
It's difficult to adjust orientation before uploading on a computer that has auto adjusted it.
Just check Gumtree for upside down pics from phones.

You orient the picture then SAVE it , an extra step but then it works.
Yes I did say the classifieds in my OP
IT seems to be occurring more often.
