Hi all,
We went to Hazeldean a few weeks ago (the first time to a camp other than Astrofest in years) and played with the 400d with some wide shots. I found it pretty hard to get focus, and I put it mostly down to having only the "kit" lenses. However I finally got close to focus with trial and error and snapped Orion, part Taurus and part Canis Major and was about 3 seconds into a 30" shot when a 2nd or 3rd mag meteor came between Orion and Taurus. Apperature needs to be shut more and one day I will learn how to do that.

18mm
f 3.5
30" on tripod
800 iso
no dark
no flat (so much to learn, no life to do it :))
The photo of the clouds have the same detail, except 1600 iso.
