I can not believe my eyes, where is the cloud that has dogged my every effort at astro pursuits since Christmas? Can i actually risk setting up for imaging tonight, or is this another climate ruse to draw me out to the observatory for another disappointment?
Don't talk too loudly Glen, the clouds may hear you.
Best

Glen, I know what you are talking about my friend, when i was doing Astro Photography, and the sky was blue close to dark time,I would stare out the window, and my dear Alice would say "are you going out tonight" and I would say "is the sky blue darling" !! :D :D

It has turned out to be a cracker of a night. At midnight the SQM reading was 20.80, close to my best here on Lake Mac. I am hoping to run all night to make up for lost time. Nice and cool, 14C at the observatory, only 65% humidity, with no breeze. The heaters are on.:eyepop: Good bye summer, i hope.

Most of this week in Melb it looks like we're going to have sunny days, clear until maybe midnight and then cloud :(

Was anyone else looking-up in Sydney's South last night? Across the night sky, the Milky Way was a thick and brilliant band. I was wondering if more educated eyes than mine were able to assess the sky last night?

Didn't see it last night. But on very rare occasions the milky way is visible in Sydney.
