For a long time I've wanted to put together a list of all the peri- terms for the solar system i.e. the term for the point of closest approach to an object in an orbit. I've only got a few so far:

Sun - perihelion
Earth - perigee
Moon - pericynthion
Jupiter - perijove

Anyone else know of any others?
I have an idea that the term for Venus is something like pericytherion but I haven't confirmed it. I've alos been on the look out for the term for Saturn with the Cassini spaceprobe but it hasn't surfaced yet either.

Yes, I have heard of periastron before, but I'm more keen to get the terms for solar system objects, if there are any.

In Apollo 13, they refer to "PC +2 burn data" ...... Engine burn at pericynthion +2 hours. Just a bit of useless but kinda related trivia :P .
