So called as I thought it was as busy as!

Finally taming the star colours consistently on the cam.

Taken during the amazing 3 nights we had at Heathcote recently, starting to get addicted to LRGB again! Damn, I took a whole night's data of 5 mins, but the following night I tried a 10 min sub and it blew the previous night's image away, so ended up just using the second night's data. Tried combining the 5 min images but no noticeable improvement.

So this is just 15 shots of 10 mins each Luminance, 5 Red, 3 Green and 6 blue (all 10 mins each as well).

Busy, in the sense of lots to see, but also calm and serene and peaceful and visually appealing. Very nicely done.

Looks good, Simmo! Some of the stars do still look a bit odd; several have pink halos, but other than that, very nice!

Really great shot! One of the finest regions in the sky, lovely, enjoyed the view Simon  One day I will hit this...one day :) (once I have the FSQ up and running :D)

Very nice Simon.

A little too much cyan for my monitor...but that could be just my monitor...

Great framing. Well done.

Dare I say it, that's pretty and an excellent field of view. Most impressive effort, you should be pleased with it.

Hey thanks everyone!

Yep, I saw it when framing the first shots, so went for it.

You might be right Maurice, a talented APer I greatly admire sent me a message suggesting that the few RGB subs I got, made me think I COULD redo it using a heap of 5 min subs I got the night before, but after the Flickr image getting a lot of hits, I can't be stuffed!

Ha Mike, never thought I might inspire YOU! Wow you'll do incredible things with that Tak, enjoy!

Hmm, I am reading that the 1600 can produce some halos, esp with the brighter stars. Oh well, will google more later.

Yes agree M&T, and thanks!

Damn right I am pleased, and so are over 5,000 of my closest friends!:lol:
