Interesting read. I should probably learn to read MTF curves at some point, along with spot diagrams :)

They're a lot more useful than spot diagrams. You can "read" the aberrations of an optical system.
You must have the one excellent copy out of dozens, Dunk :lol:

Trying the-digital-picture.com will also help. You can compare the quality of any two lenses, prime or zoom.

And did it teach you how to take a photo?
Don't forget guys that cameras and lenses are just tools, nothing more and if the user can't take a photo to begin with its a waste.
