Dam no photos but a historic event today:D . I was in Country It Computers in Casino where Robert who is from out my way (Uwingah South Tablum) was providing the various conneting plugs for the mount to lap top set up. We were trying to make the auto guide work when this bright young man said "you are alex" ..well he had one of those familar faces but I could not place it in the data bank. "I am Coombellkid" ahha... chat chat chat:) :) :) ... other than Glen my second live face to face meeting with another in the sport:eyepop: . And best of all met the family so there are astronomers who really have families I guess:shrug: ;) .
That was the high point of my day as we cant get the auto guide working but I will get there...I hope:)
And So hot why doesnt the Government do something...;)

I thought this was going to be something more along the likes of "King Kong Vs Godzilla" ........ shucks!

I met Rob (and his lovely missus and offspring) in July at Astrofest ... great bloke!

(before I get any angry torch-wielding crowds after me, I met heaps of other wonderful IIS folk there for the first time: Jeanette for one, Dennis, h0ughy, Tony-Striker, etc, etc, as well as all the other "usual" suspects I had met previously at Astroron's place like 1Ponders, Argo Navis, Dr Morbius, ad so on ... ALL great folk! The moral: get along to as many IIS gatherings as you can.)

What I failed to say without the mount there maybe no meeting but I cant walk around with an eq6 under my arm to meet others in the sport so I guess coming to a star party would be more energy efficient.
