NGC 1935 and 1955

I selected these two objects in the LMC as a test for my new(ish) Moravian G3-16200 with ASA10N with Barlow corrector giving f/6.8 and a FOV of 54' X 44'. This is a little beyond the specified image circle of the corrector.

Total time 3hours RGB all binned x2.

Conditions were tough - SQL 20.8; seeing 3"; ambient temp 18C; relative humidity 90 - 99%; sensor temp -25C

The shot is uncropped, processed in Pixinsight with a final tweak in PS.

That's some excellent kit you have, in fact before my personal ASA N12 venture went pear shaped in 2007, the versatility of Keller Wynn and 1.8X barlow was one of the things I was really looking forward to :sadeyes:

Mike, the full res image shows more detail in the nebulae and resolves the stars better - as you would expect. Until my new website is running I can't provide access to it....

The ASA+Wynne and Barlow correctors is a very flexible system. By changing out the 8300 sensor for the 16200, it gives a nice FOV increase with virtually no loss of resolution.

Running the f/6.8 corrector binned X2 is like having the speed of an f/3.4 image train with a still respectable 1.4"/px plate scale - nice if you're in a hurry!

Thanks for the comments. I have really only now started looking at the LMC region (apart from the Tarantula). this and the 1760 complex are well worth attention - no doubt there's more.
