Hi,
free to a good home is this unfinished mount - started it 20 years ago and never finished.
Some rust on the bearings but nothing a good cleanup wouldn't fix.
Shafts are 50mm solid steel. to give scale the ra shaft is 560mm long.
The dec axis was machines in situ so it is near as perfectly orthogonal, and has 2 50mm ball bearings in it. Twist locks to ra axis using cap screws.
Will give this to someone free - but needs to be someone who WILL finish it - no dreamers please. I have a lot of $ in this but know I'll never finish it, and want it to go to someone with the ability to turn it in to the heavy duty mount it was designed to be.
Pick up only in Geelong - weighs a tonne...Please, one liner replies will be ignored. Give me some info about your ambitions...
