Hello!
My name's Sebastian, I'm 24 and a medical student in Munich. I was born and raised in Erbendorf, somewhere in the deepest Bavarian forests, and this is also where my love for astronomy developed.
To make things short: I started off with naked-eye stargazing and am now proud owner of two binoculars, 8x40 and 10x50, a 4,5" Newtonian f/8 on a Vixen GP equatorial mount and a 8" GSO Dobsonian f/6, with a Geoptik 16" Dobson f/5 in the pipeline.
Right now I focus on visual astronomy and drawing, my main interests lie in Deep Sky observing, but I'll take the occasional look at the moon or the planets. The sun is something, I've pretty much ignored successfully over the years, so I guess, there are some things on my to-do list in that respect.
So most of my free-time, which is basically, when I am not studying or roaming hospitals, I spend at the eyepiece, as far as the weather permits.
I'll post some of my drawings tonight, maybe there are other people, who draw, too, around here.
I have many pictures, I've just started to rework them digitally for the net, so there is more to come as time progresses.
So, here's to many great discussions...
