I have spent a few months collecting data on this object. I think I have collected enough now with a total integration of 32 hours. This is SII Ha OIII with RGB wash for stars and some nebulosity.
This is probably my favourite nebula in the LMC. I imaged this (http://paulhaese.net/NGC1760.html)about 2.5 years ago with my wide field setup. I had always planned on imaging it with a narrow field of view and longer focal length.
It is a truly fascinating nebula. It seems most of the shapes have been formed by stellar winds from the O and B stars within the cores and also from supernovae over millions of years. Considering its distance it is very bright as an object. It must be very bright from a similar distance that we are from the M42.

Very nice Paul. It's good to see these obscure objects getting more attention.

Another beauty Paul - your widefield version was my inspiration for this crazy looking object a few years ago - nice to see the closeup details here.
Well done!

Thanks guys for the comments.
Thanks Louie. I think you are right NB does work well with some objects more than others. I think the best is the Eagle nebula.
Thanks Simon, I tried several palette versions before I settled on this, I think my original rendering a few years back of the wide field really influenced that decision though. I am thinking I will go back and try just a straight Hubble palette and see how that sits with me.
Thanks Andy, I am sure this is too drab for your exotic tastes though. ;)

Very fine indeed, Paul. You've managed to keep very good contrast in the super-bright regions.

A fantastic image Paul. I also find this and what TSX calls the Seagull nebula to be the best nebs in the LMC.

Thanks guys for taking the time to comment.
Thanks Kevin. It might well show up with quite long integration with your camera and setup. Though it would be quite red I suspect. Still it might be worth a try.

Great shot, Paul.
Having taken a snapshot of this in RGB a few days ago, the extra detail in this image is eye-opening!
Interesting colour palette also.
