Grüß Gott, janoskiss !
do you are a banterer?
I'll explain my nick:
My cat on the avatar is named "Mopsi" (read it reversed!)
and "Grüß Gott" the peeople greet in Southern Germany,
but I live in the North (100 km northern of Berlin), here one says "moin, moin!" :P
Grüße von Ispom

"Grüß Gott" I learnt in Austria (I think...) and remembered it thanks to Kusturica and his No Smoking Orchestra, their song "Grüß Gott Trauer".

it is ok, janoskiss.
the Germans in Bavaria, Swabian and Austria great so.
in the middle one says mostly “Guten Tag”
and only in the North “moin, moin”.

Hi Grube, thats a decent looking scope that you have and a fine looking cat as well. I am a cat person also.
I see also from your picture that you have the same cloud problem up north as we do down under  .
Did you get to see Comet Swan when it brightened up recently?
cheers

Hi Ric,
I think, you are speaking to me (who is Grube?)
my scope is manufactured by Carl Zeiss,
and Mopsi is very interested for my doing in the darkness :)
No, sorry, when comet Swan was brightened, we always had cloudy skies

Ving, jetzt sprichst du in rätseln
this time your words are wrapped (http://dict.tu-chemnitz.de/dings.cgi?o=3021;iservice=en-de;query=wrapped) in (http://dict.tu-chemnitz.de/dings.cgi?o=3021;iservice=en-de;query=in) mystery (http://dict.tu-chemnitz.de/dings.cgi?o=3021;iservice=en-de;query=mystery)
basically i said something along the lines of "the beaty of the internet is that language differences and the difficulties there of are a thing of the past"... oh and whatever the first line said which doesnt translate at all for some reason
its not fool proof as you can see :)
ispom

all the translating machines are so malfunctioning,
I prefer writing in English even though it is so bad,
but still better than the machine English, I think.
do you know Ving,
the machine translates correctly:
the water is hot = das Wasser ist heiß
but a complex sentence it can’t not translate correct,
there comes out nonsense…
is that your cat in the avatar? looks like my boy Logan :)

Ich höffe dass Sie vielen froeliche Stünde mit uns haben.
My German is so rusty, it's been five years since I was in Vienna for an all too brief 12 days and 40 years since I last really spoke it for real.
Think I'll just stick to English!

please, someon canhelp me?
in the postings above I see only the URLs of the pictueres, not the right pictures ,
even though I have marked in
"edit options"
the button:
"Show Images (including attached images and images in [IMG] code)"
What is the matter?
[img] tags dont work on this forum. you have to use "attach" section when using pictures :)
What an interesting thread, and i love that "little red dot map"
Cheers leon

forgive me, please, but what are
little red dot map
and
the "attach" section ?

heres a picture of the attach part. when you go to reply (not quick reply) you get the option to attach files.
as for the red dots, we have a map of the world with red dots showing where our members are from.

shortly I will tell you the sad story of my Mopsi,
wherever Mopsi is gone, whether he is dead or still alive,
I feel sad if I remember him...
3 years ago hi has sat beside the garden fence,
shy, emaciated, had fleas and parasites.
we nursed him, a veterinary made him well and fit,
our 2 other cats tolerate him,
he became the most cuddly companion...
After 2 years good living by us (a better life for a cat is hard to conceive)
on a morning he didnt appear.
I called, scouted, waited
and then was very doleful,
thinking he is perished.
4 weaks ago I saw a cat walking along the garden path 5 metres distant,
looking amazing like Mopsi,
I felt me turned into stone, called his name gently,
he looked at me, deliberated a few seconds,
and than went to a gap in the garden fence only knowing by privy cats.
And ever since he was disappeared completely without a trace,
my dear Mopsi
Hi Ispom, as a cat lover I am very sorry to here about Mopsi and I hope he returns. I think that sometimes they just get that "call of the wild" urge and they just up and leave. We had a cat many years ago who did the same thing after being with us for three years.
To our surprise he did return after around 10 months, very skinny, covered in fleas and ate a whole tin of cat food in one go, after that he never left again.
cheers
cats can be like that. i hope where ever mopsi is he is well too :)
we rescued logan from a pound. there they would have put him down if they didnt fnd a home for him. and isabella (a little black cat we have) was rescued from owners that were mistreating her.
makes me feel good knowing that these two were rescued from a fate as bad as it was...

Hi ving and ric,
might our words become reality.
I had everytime cats, but none of them was away longer than a few days.
Now with me is only Silbi , he is mousy like a deer, running away from stranger persons..
but Mopsi was trustingly for everyone.
let come him back at home before next wintertime
prayed Ispom
