Finally got up home..its a mess now a jungle the ride on in only just visable now. Clear night with too many things to do and to many things to play with, not that its been a sudden influx but its been a while since an astro photo session.
I forget the GPS for exact entries on the new mount could not get it to track well without guiding but was too tired to think about the problem. Binnos were great when steadied everything was so clear perfect mag really if there is such a thing..perfect for the job expected. I dragged out the sn150 and found it would not fit on the eq6 an needs another fitting..jury rigged the eq5 80 ar and canon with the new 300mm to get a feel for it and will be testing the lpi on it next for guiding.
Tired or not there is a lot to in all this just putting the mount together placement to power pak adjustments I still put in a lot of time with acceptable progress but was not up to getting a good polar align so I gave in rather easily I was dead beat.. Slept til 12noon was that tired.
Still just seeing a clear dark sky again was enough to make me very happy.

Hear!..Hear!!
When I'm too tired and setting up becomes a nightmare...just to stop and look up...is enough!..then I can sleep!!

Yes, i suppose we all get tired of setting up, pulling down, and so on, the next night we do i all again, and again.
There must be this magical attraction with the stars that make us do it, i dont no how many times iv'e set up for the night, ready to go for it and then the clouds appear, it is as if they (The Clouds) are watching, and when you are ready, pounce on you.
Ah, the joys of astronomy.

Cheers Leon

Just to be out there is a privledge. Getting the binos mounted is going to be a job but the views thru them well your could not ask for more. I am going to mount them on an eq somehow. Thats going to be harder than it sounds at first.
I hope to see clear weather to morrow I just got a feeling it could clear after midnight so I will be ready.

I don't know how you managed to stay in the city for that long. I can't even cope with an overnight visit.
Welcome back to the dark skies.
BTW, I forgot, what sort of bino's did you buy?

Hi Alex, there's nothing like a clear dark sky, just looking is instant stress relief.
The scope is then icing on the cake.

cheers

Did I not mention the binos 80 x 20s from Andrews Communications:D .
Well its rained ever since but its still good to be back up there. The binos are going to be fun to mount on something..I have thought of puting them on an eq mount but you need them to stand off the mount head a bit.. anyways I will come up with something.. two eyes are better than one love them.
