After the old laptop died (almost 7 years sterling service), I went out and bought a brand spanking new gaming laptop (OK, I admit, I am an IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Moscow and Stalingrad geek!) that's got a buzzilion gig of hard drive space on the SSD and old style hard drives (no CD/DVD - them things gone bye bye entirely almost now!)
Anywho, it's got Windows 10 on it (yeah, I know, it's not 7, but it's not 9...so it's half decent. Kinda. Weird but kinda OK). Thing is, the damned Windows partition, which is 100 GB, takes up 90 GB currently, and no matter what I delete, it just keeps gaining pounds like Oprah in a chocolate factory. I've been deleting every wonky app, and I still have only between 10 and 6GB free.
No programs are on the C drive apart from the Windows stoof and Office. It came with trial Office, but I had a subscription, so it upgraded to my full licence, but now I can't find the old Office to remove it - it does NOT seem the new Orifice overwrote the old one (which you'd think the boffins at Microflop would do).
I am confudulated as to why it's hogging almost 100GB (no, there is no old Windows files, as this is a new install, never had a thing on it before)..
Any ideas? I have tried all the usual, but like I said, I can scrap maybe a couple megabytes at best, even is system file cleanup etc. A typical Win10 install is 25 or so GB...this is nigh on 90!:help:
